Gym 2 Crag

Anchors, Cleaning & Rappelling

Take your top rope climbing to the next level!

This one-day course focuses on supporting gym and outdoor top rope climbers to transition to be more self-sufficient outdoor climbers

You'll learn key skills to build and clean (break down) basic anchors, as well as evaluate anchors that others have built for you. Building and cleaning anchors are a fundamental skill for budding outdoor climbers looking to build their skillset and independence. Rappelling is also an important skill to build in your progression - with applications in multi-pitch climbing, mountaineering, and canyoneering, beyond single pitch rock climbing.
